Local Fitness Fanatics Get ‘Flip’n Tyre’d’ for Charity

A group of local fitness fanatics, who train at Robert Davies gym in Llanelli, are planning to get Filp’n Tyre’d this summer when they complete a 4 mile charity tyre flip from Burry Port to Llanelli.

With the help of personal trainer, Dan Stanley of KickStart PT, the group of both male and female athletes have already started training ready for this gruelling challenge that will take place on Saturday, 29 August 2015.

They are aiming to raise over £3000 which will be split equally between Kidney Research UK and the Llanelli-based Ty Bryngwyn hospice.

Says Dan Stanley, “I encourage many of my clients to use tyre flipping as part of their body strength and conditioning work outs. And the idea came to me that this would be a great way to raise funds for charity. We started training in June using a 120 kilo tyre and we will be using the same weight tyre during the four-mile Flip’n Tyre’d’ challenge."

If anyone wants to support the team in their fund raising efforts, they can donate via their Just Giving page via the ‘Flip’n Tyre’d’ Facebook Page.
